The job

As part of the ongoing investment and diversification of our product range, a new Business Development Manager (BDM) / Relationship Manager (RM) position has become available for its iSIPP Direct-to-Consumer brand (https://isipp.co.uk). iSIPP is a trading name of iPensions Group Limited.

The BDM / RM will be responsible for driving business growth for its iSIPP line of business. The role will entail developing network of contacts to attract new clients through intermediary channels, research market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections in line with projected income. In addition building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with various channel partners and at the same time focus on satisfaction, loyalty, and retention amongst prospective and existing customers.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, and the ability to gather and analyse data to help make informed business decisions. The Relationship Manager will work closely with other departments and teams to drive business growth and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective intermediary channels
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with various channel partners through regular communication, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and email.
  • Understand their needs and requirements and work to meet these needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain end customers to help grow the business.
  • Gather and analyse data on customers, competitors and market trends to help make informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, compliance, legal, operations and product development, to drive business growth.
  • Own and drive growth projects
  • Stay informed of industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Address any feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Provide regular reports on customer satisfaction and business performance to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products and services.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is desired.
  • 5 years of experience in business development management or a similar role.
  • Relevant industry experience and technical skills
  • Experience and contacts within Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) firm networks, accounting firms or contracting networks desired
  • Experience of working in financial services required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external entities and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform business decisions.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to customer service and problem-solving.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be organised and have attention to detail
